Meme Coin Mania: Trump to Host Top $TRUMP Holders at Gala Event

Date:

  • The TRUMP coin gained 70% after Trump declared a gala for the top 220 token holders in Washington, D.C.
  • Top 25 holders will receive a White House tour and an exclusive reception organized by event organizers.
  • Organizers clarified TRUMP coin is not a security or campaign tool, but for expression only.

A new wave of attention has taken over the crypto market after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a gala dinner event for the top 220 holders of the TRUMP meme coin. The invitation-only dinner will be held on May 22 at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C., and will include a private White House tour for the top 25 registrants. The announcement has led to a sudden surge in the TRUMP token’s value, with prices rising by as much as 70% immediately.

Following the news of the exclusive event, the TRUMP coin surged in value, briefly touching $16, its highest price since early March. Though the token fell below $13, it still had a 43% gain over the previous 24 hours. Before the announcement, the token had been underperforming and recently hit an all-time low due to broader market turbulence linked to ongoing tariff discussions.

The price movement also occurred during increased trading volume and social media interactions. This upward trend shows that investors are interested in an event with the president, as this is a good opportunity to participate in such an event.

The rise in prices was further compounded by the unlocking of $300 million of TRUMP tokens on April 1,8, which led to increased tokens in circulation. According to Tokenomist data, 75% of TRUMP tokens are still locked, and the next unlock, which is expected in July, may release more than 600 million dollars worth of tokens.

Specifically, the TRUMP coin was released only a few days before the inauguration of the Trump presidency on January 20. It was, however, discredited in the crypto industry because insiders heavily sponsored it, and they resorted to using political affiliation to bait the public. The token traded at a high of $73, but it had declined more than 80% from this high point.

How to Qualify for the Gala

To be eligible for the gala, participants must rank among the top 220 TRUMP holders based on their average wallet balances from April 23 to May 12. The top 25 holders will receive an extra incentive, such as a pre-dinner reception and a VIP tour of the White House. Event organizers have stated that this portion of the experience will be arranged separately through Fight Fight Fight LLC.

Interested users must register on gettrumpmemes.com by connecting their crypto wallets and submitting identifying information, including legal name, email, and phone number. Background checks will be conducted to verify eligibility, and registrants from KYC watchlist countries will not be permitted to attend. Additionally, no guests or changes will be allowed, and attire for the evening has been designated as black-tie optional.

Organizers Clarify Nature of the Event

However, the way of promoting the meme coin was associated with Donald Trump, meaning that the creators stipulated that the TRUMP meme coin is not a money, investment contract, or security. The notice further explains that the token is solely for communication and should not be associated with any political campaign or agency.

However, President Trump could speak at the dinner and focus that evening’s discussion on the future of digital assets and blockchain technology. The organizers also assured that it is not a fundraising meeting, meaning no campaign contributions will be sought for any person or political party.
